Description
The silence of early morning on the river, the first rays of sun hitting the back of the dock benches, tiny swells moving toward the shore in perfect rhythm, creating rolling reflections on the water of the Piankatank River, just off the Chesapeake Bay. A perfect morning.

Yes, exactly. My mom's best friend's father lived there, and now my cousin lives on the same road ... and river ... just a few cottages away. Hours and days just flew by when we were there ... it's a magical place. I never learned to swim properly. I was thinking last night ... much easier to just swim underwater and come up for air when you need to. That way you can be on the look-out for anything interesting down there! Enjoy your piece of paradise!!!!!

I think so, just south of Annapolis? Crossing the bridge I always look south and think, that way is home. We are blessed to live in such a beautiful part of the country. I used to live on Eastern Long Island, much the same in spots. Thank you for the compliment Lois!!

Oh my goodness ... the beauty of this amazing capture absolutely gives me goosebumps!!!!! The light ... the ripples ... just magical!!!!! I have seen those ripples, also on a river off the Chesapeake ... if you know Rhode River, where Camp Letts is (was?) ... those were my stomping grounds as a kid. Had to smile when I saw the net ... yep ... this one feels like home to me!!!!! l/f t p and fb
